Ceramic Materials (MATE 468) Course Details

Course Name: Ceramic Materials
Code: MATE 468
Pre-requisite Course(s): Consent of the department
Objective: This course is aimed to develop an understanding of the properties of ceramic materials as they relate primarily to their structure and bonding. The fundamental role of point defects and stoichiometry on the electric, dielectric and diffusional properties of ceramics will be discussed. The critical role of flaws, surfaces and interfaces on the mechanical properties will be addressed
